Are the cards actually made by hand?
Handmade is a term used throughout the greetings card industry, meaning different things to different people. Our cards are made entirely by hand, without any mechanised production. We specialise in producing exclusive and personalised designs in small quantities for discerning customers.

Can I request you to slightly adapt a card?
If you see a card that you would like us to alter or have your own idea for a card, we will try to accommodate your request. Call or e-mail us when ordering.

Are the cards of good quality?
Each card is individually handmade using high quality board and the finest decorative materials. The cards are all of the highest quality.

Do all the cards have inserts?
Not all cards have inserts. For some such as the 3D handbags and shoes this would be inappropriate. Where cards have inserts this is shown on the item description together with the standard wording.

Can I have my own wording on the insert?
Yes of course just let us know what you would like.

Can I personalise a card?
Of course a card can be personalised for free. Just let us know what you require.

Shopping and Payment

How do I make a purchase?
Our website has been designed to make it as simple as possible for you to view and purchase our range of cards on line. Just choose your card and add to your basket.

What are my payment options?
Payment is made through Paypal, which employs extensive fraud prevention measures.  All payments are secure.  If you don't have a Paypal account it doesn't matter. Payment can still be made through Paypal without signing up to anything. All you need is your name, shipping address, credit card details, email address and phone number. Paypal does not charge the buyer anything to utilise this service.

If you wish to pay by cheque then please email your order to sally@dottydreams.co.uk and we will give you further details.

When will my order be confirmed?
You will be sent an e-mail confirming that your order has been received, and you should retain this as your order confirmation and receipt.

Postage and Packaging

Do I have to pay for postage & packing?
Our postage charges are as follows:
£3.50   Orders up to    £19.99
£5.00   Orders from     £20.00 - £49.99
£7.00   Orders from     £50.00 - 149.99
£9.00   Orders from     £150.00 - £499.99
Free     Orders over     £500.00

Postage & packing for international deliveries is charged at cost. Please email for postage details.

When will my cards be sent?
We aim to deliver within seven working days however at peak times this may rise to fourteen days. If you have an urgent order please contact us. 

How are the cards packaged?
For smaller orders, we use stiff mailers with bubble wrap to protect the cards. For larger orders we use robust cardboard packaging. Every effort is made to ensure that your cards arrive in perfect condition.

Refunds and Returns

What happens if I don’t like a card when I receive it?
We are confident that you won’t be disappointed with the quality of finish and presentation of the cards, but if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a simple money back guarantee.

Please contact us to request a returns code, and, at your cost, return the card or cards unopened and in their original condition within 28 days. Please note personalised items cannot be returned.

If you have any problems at all with regard to the cards, delivery or any issue to do with purchase we will ensure it is resolved to your satisfaction – we want you to come back and buy more cards!
